Lots of News to come!

Wow! Things have been busy here at Zettl Photography! We have so many wonderful things to tell and show you. You’ll see a lot of activity on our blog in the next few days, so feel free to check back regularly.

Jill and John’s album

Here is a recent album I am really proud of. Jill and John kind of gave me free range on the album and I think it really paid off. Check it out!

The Fish Survived – Thank Goodness

We are a small studio that focuses on the personality and relationships of the child or children being photographed (so parents and even pets are really important in the photos!) We like to take the time to let the children open up and shine. We also like to see where their curiosity will take them!

So I bought a pair of 26 cent goldfish and decided they would be an excellent companion for a curious 9 month old’s photo shoot. I was half prepared to clean up a gallon of water from my studio floor. But Ryan was a great sport and we only lost a little bit of water and more importantly the fish survived and are still living to this day. Peter named them Burt and Urt.

DAVID WILLIAMS IS COMING!!!!!

Perhaps you’ve heard me ramble on about this amazingly talented, giving and kind photographer from Australia named David Williams. Seriously folks, this guy is a living legend.

We saw him a year ago in Kansas City and since then I have been bugging him to come to St. Louis. At the DWF convention, he made the official announcement that he is coming to St. Louis and Peter and I will be hosting his “Almost Alone with David Williams” seminar. I’m so excited. I’m like a little kid in a candy shop!

(If you’re a photographer reading this: Registration is limited to 20 or so people and worth every penny. Details to follow.)

Vegas, oh Baby!!!

Last week we spent four days with some of the best wedding photographers in the world – that’s right – the world! The Digital Wedding Forum convention in Las Vegas was an incredible event of seminars, networking and shooting. I learned so much and I can’t wait to apply it to future weddings and portrait sessions.

There was an fabulous shooting demonstration at the Jane dry lake bed with the amazingly talented John Michael Cooper (check out his website at www.altf.com) I had to get a few shots… because hey, it’s what I do.

Claire & Kris - January 13, 2007

Before I get caught up in everything else I have to share some photos of Claire and Kris’s wedding from January 13. I know I’m starting to sound like a broken record, but we really do have some awesome clients. I loved how they decorated the Forest Park Visitor Center. The warm glow of candles , the great music of Bob Kuban's Band and a full dance floor made for a great evening.

We wish them the very best!
