Laura & Tom * January 21, 2006

While we didn't have that dusting of snow that I so dearly wanted for Laura and Tom's winter wedding, we did have warm enough weather that we could spend a few minutes outside.

Laura and Tom's wedding was a beautiful event. Everything about it was beautiful - the bride, the dress, the wedding party - everything. I absolutely loved Laura's dress! It was a gorgeous, rarely seen, mermaid-style dress, and Laura has the body to make it look smashing! Tom looked quite handsome, too. I loved how he looked at Laura during the ceremony with such love and devotion in his smile. They are a wonderful couple and we wish them the very best for a long and happy marriage.

Enero en San Luis - Felisha & Joel

January 14th was a beautiful day complete with a beautiful warm sunset.
Like always, we had an amazing couple with an amazing personality. Through the help of friends and family, Felisha and Joel made their wedding a very special occasion for all involved. It is so refreshing to see two people so excited and happy and in love.

I just want to share some photos from a special session with an adorable baby. I really enjoyed working with Ryann and her family. She has such a cute little expressive face and the prettiest green eyes.

Darci was one of my stylish brides from 2004. At 8 month pregnant she still looks great!
I really enjoy photographing a pregnancy session. I know most women feel totally unattractive, but believe me, there is nothing more beautiful than a expectant mommy. Sure, there are a few extra pounds, and hormones can do strange things to a person's complexion. But there is also a glow and a pride that only an expectant mother has.

To a wonderful 2005 season

It's hard to believe 2006 is already here. We'll be shooting our first wedding of the year in a week and we're very excited about it. Personally I want a light dusting of snow. Not enough to be trouble but just enough to create that winter wonderland feel.

But before we get too wrapped up in next season. I wanted to take a moment and reflect on all the great weddings and couples from 2005. I had grandiose ideas about choosing a selection of favorite images from each wedding in 2005 but the idea of going through 30,000 images became a bit daunting. So please enjoy my humble selection. Next year I'll be more on top of choosing favorites as I edit my weddings!

We were very fortunate to photograph Susan and David's wedding last Friday, December 30th. This stylish couple from Germany had a beautiful and intimate ceremony in front of the fireplace at the Whittemore House. What impressed me so much about them was their deep love for each other and their wonderful sense of humor.
